Trace

If I trace back all of my footsteps, will I stumble on your feet?

If I trace back all that I've touched, will I hold your hand?

If I trace back all that I've tasted, will I kiss your lips?

If I trace back far enough, will I find you?

I remember all the places we've gone and the stories we've made. I remember caressing every bump and crevice and stubble on your face. I remember the taste your whiskey and the warm burn on my tongue. If I can remember all this, can I trace my way back to you?
